Le grand jeu du jour est d’estimer le volume de pré-commandes d’iPad. À en croire les premières estimations, le succès serait au rendez-vous pour la tablette d’Apple. Plus de 50 00 pré-commandes auraient été passés dans les deux heures qui ont suivi sa mise en vente. Une statistique impressionnante quand on sait qu’il était moins de 8 heures sur la côte ouest.
Pour établir ce chiffre, Victor Castroll se serait basé sur les numéros de commande de l’Apple Store. Cette méthodologie a ses défauts cependant. On peut imaginer certains internautes aient acheté autre chose que la tablette d’Apple.
Si ce chiffre était vérifié, la firme de Cupertino écoulerait chaque heure plus de 20 000 iPad et engrangerait au minimum 10 millions de dollars.
